Richard Zulu is a third year student currently pursuing a Bachelors In Information Technology at Makerere University. He is a Ugandan by Nationality and currently volunteering with the Directorate of ICT support at Makerere University as a Network Administrator.
He participated in a Community Outreach programme that the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Makerere University was running under the NUFFIC project in partnership with the Radboud University in August 2009.

Richard was among six students chosen by Google Africa to be Ambassadors within Makerere University.
He has a passion in web technologies and the internet. He strongly believes that upon graduation, he can build on his skills so as to become a nice web developer but at the same time use some of his programming knowledge in Java to come up with some nice web apps. Richard realises the need of integrating the web and the mobile phone (which has the highest rate of penetration in Africa)to address many of the problems of information access to Africans which can enable a lot of business opportunities and economic development.
Richard attended Namilyango College for his Advanced and Ordinary Level education where he was a Headboy for the year 2006. Before that, He served as a computer lab prefect for the years 2002-2004 because of his passion for computers then.
